Create a Character

Creating a New Character

1. From your Dashboard, click "New Character" (or the + button in your cast list)
2. Upload a clear, front-facing photo
3. Enter the character's name — this is how they'll appear in stories
4. Choose a role:
   • Main Character — the star of the story
   • Sidekick — a best friend or adventure companion
   • Family Member — parent, sibling, grandparent
   • Pet — the family dog, cat, or other animal

Editing Characters

Click any character in your cast list to update their:

• Photo — swap in a new photo anytime
• Name — change how they're referred to in stories
• Role — adjust their default role

Changes apply to future books. Existing books keep their original settings.

Character Limits

There's no hard limit on how many characters you can create. Build your whole family cast — kids, parents, grandparents, cousins, friends, and pets!

Tips

• Create characters for everyone you might want in stories, even if you don't use them right away
• Use the character's real first name for the most personal touch
• Kids love seeing their pets in stories — don't forget the family animals!
