Downloading Your Book

You can download any book you've made. You don't need to order a printed copy first.

How to Download

1. Open your book in the editor
2. Click Share (the upload-arrow icon in the top toolbar)
3. Choose Download book
4. Pick a format and click the download button

You can also right-click any page illustration and choose Download book.

Which Format to Pick

• Storybook PDF: one PDF with the cover, story pages and back cover in reading order. Good for reading on a tablet, emailing to family, or printing at home.
• Print-ready ZIP: separate interior and wrap-around cover PDFs sized with bleed and a spine for your page count. Hand these to Lulu, KDP, IngramSpark or a local print shop.
• Word: an editable .docx, either laid out like the book or as a flowing manuscript.

Options

• Title & dedication pages: on by default. Turn it off to leave out the title page, copyright line and dedication, so the file opens straight on the story. This works for both the storybook PDF and the print-ready ZIP.
• Cover as a separate file: print-ready ZIP only, and on by default, because Lulu, KDP and IngramSpark want the wrap-around cover (back, spine and front) as its own file. Turn it off if your print shop wants a single PDF with the front and back covers as its first and last pages. The storybook PDF always has the covers in it.
• Preview: click Preview layout to see every page of the file as it will print, laid out in facing spreads. It follows the switches as you change them.

If you sell your book with an ISBN, leave the title pages on. The ISBN prints on the title page.

What Each Plan Includes

• Free: Storybook PDF with a small ToonyStory watermark
• Paid plans: PDF without the watermark, the print-ready ZIP, and Word export

Downloading the Video

The book download doesn't include the video. Open the video panel (Share, then Generate Video) and use its download button once the video has finished.
